Maybelline: Baby Skin Pore Eraser - Review

Let me start this review off by saying, I personally haven't read or seen much about Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser. I first saw on tumblr, I was obsessed with the packaging. I did further research an found out that Baby Skin Pore Eraser has been out since 2013! WHAT? I'm quite surprised it didn't have much media coverage.

Ever since then, I've been dying to get my hands on it. Now this product isn't available in Australia, i had to purchase online using a forwarding address but for everyone else overseas- its available in stores.

NYX: Matte Bronzer In Light Review

" Perfect for Spring, Summer and beyond! – the Matte Bronzers have arrived! Achieve a natural and healthy looking complexion using any of the powder bronzers available in many shades. Perfect for that desired honey glow all year long! " - NYX

How many bronzers does one woman need? Apparently I decided I needed another one.  I already have quite a stash of bronzers in my makeup collection but I wanted something a bit lighter for an all over natural look. When it comes to bronzers, I search for something that matte, non shimmery and not too orange on my skin. This Bronzer is perfect! I've been using using it for over two months now and I must admit, it's my holy grail Bronzer!

NYX MATTE BRONZER
LIGHT #1
RRP: $17.95 AUD

I've been mixing up the NYX Bronzer for a more defined & contoured look. First ill use the Real Techniques Blush Brush to sweep across my face, to warm it up a bit. Then using NARS Ita brush to define / contour to sculpture my face. The shade is a very neutral, isn't to orange, nor 'muddy'. I use this for all over  and it even when I pile it on, it still looks natural.

The packaging is so lovely. So sleek looking and has a mirror inside which is always nice to have in most any compact product. The fact that the texture is matte is a big selling point for me. I'm not crazy about shimmery bronzers and most bronzers out there have way too much shimmer for my liking. It is well pigmented and it doesn't take much to add dimension and contour to my face with this.
Overall, I think this is a beautiful warm bronzer that has excellent color payoff and is something I can easily work with. It is a beautiful product, Super easy to blend, plus it's fully matte. I definitely recommended everyone to try this product. :)

APRIL 2014 - Her Fashion Box

Would you believe me if I said my March box arrived a week before I received Aprils box? Well that's exactly happened to me, Her Fashion Boxes just seem to be arriving later and later as time goes on. I felt left outta the loop on Aprils box as there wasn't much follow up by the social media person. There was an email sent out in the last couple of days of April, promising that boxes would be mailed out the next day. couple weeks later, still nothing. At this point I was very annoyed, as I didn't receive a email back with a follow up, nor a reply back to facebook, twitter or Instagram comments.

There wasn't a reason given for why the boxes were so late, just that the team have been working really hard getting them out. I totally understand things happen and are completely outta people's control but it's quite frustrating paying for a monthly subscription, not getting it on time and not getting a form of contact back. For a service you're paying for turns out like this, kinda makes me want to cancel my subscription.

Anyways enough about my rant / sooking. haha lets just start this:

Bonus Gift: I received a Her Fashion Box tote as my free gift for completing March's survey. Great little bag for shopping or carrying my Uni books.
1) Cedel - Coconut Bay Hairspray ($4.99)
I love my hair products and I love hairspray even more! I love how the fragrance smells exactly like coconut. Which is quite refreshing! I've perilously owned this. it's super lightweight, non sticky and easy to brush out. The packaging is also very cute and funky.

2) Manicare - Fashion Nail Shaper ($1.95)
I'm not much of a nail person. However I'm a sucker for packaging and this packaging is adorable. It'd definitely come in handy, something small to throw into your bag.

3) Urban Rituelle - Coconut & Honey ($4.95)
Im a fan of Urban Rituelle and loved their perfume bottle in February's box. However this certain product won't be used by me. Don't assume I'm being rude, I'm actually allergic to soap, along with honey. However it does smell lovely. I may pass this onto a friend or keep for a giveaway.

4) Mor - Five Sachets Of Hand Cream (80ml - $14.95)
I've tried a few of these hand creams before and I love them! The formula absorbs into the skin quickly, helps soothes dry hands leaving them feeling pampered, restored moisture and with a lovely scent. I'll most likely save these for a giveaway or pass onto someone.

5) Her Fashion Box - Luminesce Socks ($24.95)
These are cute knee high socks and perfect for the colder months but I don't see myself wearing them. I'm not really a huge fan on knee high socks nor do I see what makes these socks worth $24.95? I'll wear them around the house, but doubt I'd wear them outside.

6) Her Fashion Box - White Noise Earrings ($19.95)
Another product I won't be able to use, only because I no longer have my ears pierced. However theyre cute and love the detail. Another product for a giveaway.

7) Her Fashion Box - Coraline Cuff ($19.95)
I already own a similar cuff in pink. It's a cute bracelet to add an extra pop to an outfit. I love the look, colours and spike details! definitely going to get a lot of wear.

Overall: 5 outta 7 products will not be used by me, so this months box is disappointing. It really wasn't worth waiting for, however I'm sure these products are more appealing to others but if I wasn't allergic, had my ears pierced and hadn't tried some of these products before I would of enjoyed this box. But I'm excited for May's box for their designer collaboration, so fingers crossed May's will make up for Aprils.

L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Magic Blur Review

Introducing L'OrĂ©al Paris Revitalift Magic Blur, the first-of-its-kind instant skin smoothing Finishing Cream. Magic Blur was specially formulated with a distinctive cushiony texture that instantly blurs lines, wrinkles, pores and uneven texture. I saw my favourite Youtuber and beauty guru  Nicole Guerriero raving about this in her videos, and I knew I had to get my hands on it!

L'OrĂ©al Paris Revitalift Magic Blur
RRP: $24.99
On Sale: $18.74
30ML

Magic Blur technology optically smoothes the skins surface, reduces shine and evens out complexion using a combination of light reflecting silicon elastomers, light diffusing agents, silica, and skin smoothing polymers. This unique Finishing Cream blends seamlessly into the skin so it instantly looks and feels smooth, leaving a velvet-soft matter finish. Magic Blur is recommend to be the final step in every woman's skin care routine, can apply after moisturiser, worn on its own or used as a primer under your foundation, for smoother, even application and wear.

Gently smooth the product onto the skin using small motions and then by lightly tapping with fingertips. Focus on particularly lined areas such as around the nose, frown lines or above the lips. It creates a smooth and even surface on the skin, it does reduce the appearance of pores and blurs out the lines around my eyes, but most of all it gives my skin an airbrushed look after I apply my makeup, while leaving my skin soft and translucent without clogging any pores. It has a very thick consistency, one of the thickest primers I’ve tried however the texture is lightweight, soft and velvet smooth when rubbed in.

I have tested this for a couple of weeks now, and I have noticed that my skin appears smoother and softer. My foundation applies easily over it without any problems. It hasn't clogged any pores, its actually helped, with less break outs and faded some lines around my eyes. Those with dry, normal and combination skin will find that this works well for you. Those with oily skin should consider using a mattifying moisturizer then applying the Magic Blur. It's definitely a product I'd recommend to anyone that wants a cheaper, affordable primer has the same results as Benefit POREfessional. I wouldn't same an exact dupe, but it's some what.

Photo of my Palm. Magic Blur has removed small lines.

Her Fashion Box February 2014

My very first box from Her Fashion Box! I'm super excited to share it with you all. The February box did arrive late, I received mine on 28th Feb, I do believe the boxes are meant to be sent out mid month - however there was a delay due to some issue they had with product delivery. Which was totally understandable :) Heres my first review on their February 2014 box.

Her Fashion Magazine:
A little booklet with all the details and information about what products are included in the monthly box.
Shop Till You Drop Magazine:
Lets just take a moment to embrace Phoebe Tonkins beauty! Perfect cover girl, and I'm a huge fan of her. I'm already a subscriber to STYD and already have this mag - but there is nothing wrong with having two copies! However ill probably give my mother a copy to read while in hospital.

Bondi Sands Summer Bronze Instant Tan Ultra Fine Mist ($16.95)

If you're obsessed with looking bronzed all year around or just into tanning, then you know about Bondi Sands. I've never personally tried Bondi Sands, but through out Summer it was one of the many tanning products that everyone was raving about. Ill definitely be giving this a shot, and hopefully it doesn't rub off onto my clothes. It comes in two colours - Light/Medium and Dark. I received the Light/Medium colour which will be perfect for my skin tone.

Urban Rituelle In Vanilla Petit Parfum ($14.95)

This product comes in a travel size fragrance bottle. The packaging of the actual bottle is gorgeous. It comes in a clear glass with a floral print. Then comes in a white matte box with floral embossing. Cute or what? The scent is very flirty, it's sweet but not over kill. It's a perfect warm vanilla smell for winter. I definitely see myself wearing this in the colder months! also wouldn't mind getting the full collection of 5. It's also very handy to pop into your handbag and go!

Chap Stick Day and Night ($6.99)

Another product I've never tried. It's a new release by Chap Stick, that quite surprising, I haven't heard much about them. The pack contains two tubs - one for day and the other for night. With added Vitamin E and SPF 15+, Chapstick EveryDay Lip Care is great for slicking on when you're on the go to help repair and protect your lips everyday. With soothing Aloe Vera, Chapstick Night Repair is your perfect bedtime companion for ensuring lasting protection as you sleep, perfect for keeping your lips looking happy and healthy.

Mirenesse Lip Bomb Glossy Lacquer Stain No. 27 ($39)

Combining 3 products in one, a gloss, a stain and a lacquer creating the perfect pout has never been easier. Mirenesse is quite a popular Australian brand, that's grown a huge beauty base over the last couple of months. I've personally brought from them and their products are amazing! So there's no problem with me liking this lip bomb. The texture is creamy, stains the lips well and does last all day! The Mirenesse Lip Bomb Glossy Lacquer Stain is free from a number of harsh chemicals including parabens, sulfates, alcohol, mineral oil and mercury.

Lipstick Republic Shadow Shields (Sample)

As a sample gift, two shadow shields were included in this months box. If you're obsessed with trying out new shadows like myself, but always get fall out. These shields will come in handy for you! Can also use the shields to create thee effect lipstick application.

Her Fashion Box Different Darkness Necklace ($19.95)

Jewellery theme for February is Dainty Delicacy. The necklace is super cute, it's layered with black and gold along with tiny star charms. It's quite simple but would still very girly. They'd definitely look great when pairing with other necklaces.

Her Fashion Box Solar Bracelets ($24.95)

These bracelets are inspired by the solar system, thrilled with zesty neon yellow and more subdued shades of pink and black to bring balance and ensure you're planets align. It does come in a 3 pack, would look great to wear all three or even give one each to your two best friends - as BFF charms.

That's all the goodies into this months Her Fashion Box, I'm very happy with it! Some of these products I've never really been sure of purchasing or never heard of - so I'd be exciting to try them out, and hopefully get a full review on them. If you're interested in purchasing a monthly box. Check out Her Fashion Box for more details :) x

Puretopia Eye Rescue Refresh & Detoxifying Massage Roller

Puff and tried eyes are never a good look for anyone. No matter what you do. Early starts, long days. It shouldn't stop us girls from looking our best. So I was very excited to discover and also have the chance to review Puretopia's Eye Rescue.

Credit: PURETOPIA
PURETOPIA
Eye Rescue Refreshing & Detoxifying Massging Roller
RRP: $19.95 AUS

If you haven't noticed from my last couple of posts, I'm a girl that suffers from dark circles, puffiness and just looking plain tried in the face. As I work in retail, I'm always searching for products that can help keep my face looking fresh, healthy and to maintain my appearance. As customers are looking at my face 24/7. It's important that I have my fresh face on.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been using Puretopia's Eye Rescue Refresh and Detoxifying Massage Roller. I've been applying it morning and night. I ensure I have a clean, washed face before applying, so the product can set into the skin without getting blocked by oils, makeup or whatever else. The product has a stainless steel massaging rollerball which glides into your eye smoothly and easily, giving a cooling effect and moisturises your eyes as well. The natural actives in the active peptide complex work to help reduce the appearance of puffiness and dark circles, while vitamin C and cornflower adds clarity and brightness evening out skin tone. This is reinforced with vitamin E and shea to soothe and add moisture.

I have noticed some changes under my eyes, it's helped reduced those nasty dark circles, it's lighted the skin and also stopped the puffiness. It's left it feeling soft, smooth and looking fresh. I also noticed that its gotten rid of some lines I had on the corners of my eyes, it's smoothed them right back. It's small enough to put into your purse, it's truly a lifesaver and worth every penny.

* this product was sent to me to review, I was not paid to leave a positive review, all words are honest, photos have been taken by myself unless credited. *

Why Am I Unsubscribing?

I have been subscribed to Bellabox since May 2013 (8months). I've gotten some great stuff in the boxes, and really enjoyed many of the products. BUT, I have not came across any product that is worth repurchasing. What I found annoying about the boxes was that every, single month there was at least 2-3 body lotions, skin scrubs or shampoo and condition. Now most of those products were already included in the months before, so having a second and third batch of the exact stuff isn't necessary. I have recieved within 8 months over 30 skin care products, 15 hair products and 9 brown lip products - which I truly hate brown lip sticks / gloss. Now I don't want to sound ungrateful as I really do appreciate what bellabox is doing and could only image packing thousands of boxes each month, but I have decided that they're not for me. My excitement for a new box each month as worn off.  With my experience with Bellabox, I have enjoyed some boxes and some were a downer. They do seem to be more focused on skin care and their own branded products. Again, I have not wanted to purchase anything from inside the box. Now that I've unsubscribed, I will be saving that extra $15 a month that can go towards something else that ill actually use. I'm also not here to try an change your minds, or to sound ungrateful, Im just sharing my opinion and experience with BELLABOX.

LUSH: Ultrabland - Facial Cleaner

I received the ULTRABLAND inside a goodie bag from the LUSH blogger / Vloggers event, which you can find my post about it here. The ladies at the event said that this product is quite popular, even more popular that huge celebrities purchase this, even Angelina Jolie's favourite cleaner. Now we all have the secret to flawless skin that Mrs Jolie has.

LUSH
ULTRABLAND - FACIAL CLEANSER
RRP: $17.95

With an impressive list of natural ingredients, such as almond oil, beeswax, honey and rose water, Ultrabland is great for all skin types, even the ones who have sensitive skin, without causing any irritation or reaction. I've also been told that it helps to being problem skin back to balance.

It's got a great formula of beeswax and almond oil that cuts through makeup without over cleansing the skin. Almond Oil and rosewater lift away dirt, oil and makeup with ease. Ultrabland is a multipurpose healing and moisturising balm, and it has been said that there are over 100 uses for it. Rose for reducing redness and inflammation, and beeswax for helping give the skin a protective layer.

The packaging advises you to smooth a generous amount (only really need a pea sized amount) all over your face then wipe off using a damp warm flannel or cotton pad. By using my fingers I took a little amount out of the pot and rubbed it between my fingers to warm the product up before applying it evenly across my face. Within seconds I noticed my face was super oily, it honestly looked like I spent a lifetime at the gym. Then used a damp warm flannel to remove the left over makeup, I was quite surprised to see how dirty and gross the flannel looked. Just showed how much left over makeup was still on my skin, that I didn't even know was there.

This product also removes waterproof mascara and it certainly doesn't leave your skin feeling oily or greasy. It cleans my face beautifully, getting rid of all of the makeup, sunscreen, and any grime that I've managed to pick up through the day, leaving me with wonderful smooth and soft skin. I've haven't had any problems with breakouts or clogged pores. In fact my skin has actually improved while using this.

Introducing Sally Hansen’s New Limited Edition Spring Racing Collection

Introducing Sally Hansen’s New Limited Edition Spring Racing Collection.

WHAT ARE THEY:
Seven Spring Racing inspired shades of premier polish. As the ultimate colour authority. Sally Hansen has always set the trends when it comes to nail shades. This season is no different – the latest Sally Hansen shades are perfect for spring and are designed to make a statement. From pretty pastels to chic neutrals, these new limited edition shades of Complete Salon Manicure are sure to have you race-day-ready this spring.

THE TECHNOLOGY:
Formulated with three proprietary time-released, protecting shine enhancers. Complete Salon Manicure delivers lasting shine – the closet you can get a gel effect without a gel manicure. Housed in breakthrough nano-tubes, the shine enhancers are released as your nails flex during daily water and tear, helping to provide maximum chip-resistance.

THE BRUSH:
This Precision Brush was developed exclusively by Sally Hansen. It’s rounded to fit the curve of your cuticles and is perfectly shaped to hug the contours of your nails. With an 800-bristle count, shorter brush, length and precision product picks up. The brush promotes better application for better wear.
