Gently smooth the product onto the skin using small motions and then by lightly tapping with fingertips. Focus on particularly lined areas such as around the nose, frown lines or above the lips. It creates a smooth and even surface on the skin, it does reduce the appearance of pores and blurs out the lines around my eyes, but most of all it gives my skin an airbrushed look after I apply my makeup, while leaving my skin soft and translucent without clogging any pores. It has a very thick consistency, one of the thickest primers I’ve tried however the texture is lightweight, soft and velvet smooth when rubbed in.

I have tested this for a couple of weeks now, and I have noticed that my skin appears smoother and softer. My foundation applies easily over it without any problems. It hasn't clogged any pores, its actually helped, with less break outs and faded some lines around my eyes. Those with dry, normal and combination skin will find that this works well for you. Those with oily skin should consider using a mattifying moisturizer then applying the Magic Blur. It's definitely a product I'd recommend to anyone that wants a cheaper, affordable primer has the same results as Benefit POREfessional. I wouldn't same an exact dupe, but it's some what.

LUSH Lip Scrub - Bubble Gum

When I was shopping within my local LUSH store, this lip scrub kept catching my eyes.. I didn't hear much about this, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The girls at LUSH were raving on about it, saying its great for the lips and the best part was licking it off. The thought of licking your dead skin off your lips was the part that I was grossed out about. I kept thinking of the Goldmember from Austin Powers. While I was at the LUSH Bloggers / Vlogger Event, this product was inside the goodie bag as one of their best sellers, so I sucked up my thought of dead skin and decided to try it out.

I thinks its safe to say that almost every person in the blogging and beauty world, would own a Lush lip scrub. Everyone whose tried them is obsessed and those who are about to try them, wont be able to get their hands off them. That would be me, so before you judge a product or think dirty things of it, please try it. haha.

Bubble Gum smells and tastes just like Bubble Gum. With my fear, I'm completely over it. I cant even resist licking this lip scrub off my lips. You only need to apply a small amount on your fingertip, and rub it in until you feel its necessary to stop. I scrub my lips for at least 50 seconds to ensure I covered each part of my lips. Then you can just lick it straight off. It tastes super yummy.                                            

After using the scrub it does leave your lips feeling and looking so much better, mine seemed a little more plump from rubbing, which I secretly enjoy big lips haha. Its perfect to use before applying lip balm, lip stick or gloss. Having your lips scrubbed can really help define and also make your lips look neat.

I personally thought this box was disappointing, i was hoping for more full size products or something that wasnt related to cleaners / primers as that's been something featured a lot in the  monthly boxes. Nothing really caught my eyes or made me think "WOW". I reckon i received the cheesy box, as some people received bronzers and lip products. Anyways; if you think about it, paying $15 for the box is worth it, you can only imagine actually buying these products in store, you'd be broke. I'm still going to try these products, as you cant judge a book by its cover. x

Essence 24H Hand Protection Balm ( Winter Edition)

In the colder months, my hands get dry, flakey and sometimes crack in the creases of my knuckles. It gets very painful that I have to constantly rub cream on my hands or worse wash my hands for relief. Which is a huge No No, as that makes my hands 10 times worse then before.

Caramel Hot Chocolate - $1.95

Finding a hand balm is harder then you think, I want something that reliefs pain, smooth, soft and doesn't give the oily feel after applying. After trying many testers in the shops, I saw the Essence shelf that was stacked with hand balms with different scents. There wasn't any testers, so I took my chance & grabbed the Caramel Hot Chocolate bottle that read:

" This 24h hand protection balm is an intensive repair care for particularly rough and dry hands, the repair formula with Shea Butter and Coconut Oil provides moisture, care and protects your hands from dryness for up to 24hrs. Does not leave an oily residue. Caramel Hot Chocolate scented hand cream "

The Winter Editions to the Hand Protection Balm range evoke memories of our favourite winter warmer drinks. The three new flavours/scents are: Caramel Hot Chocolate, Apple Cinnamon Punch & Gingerbread Chai Latte.

When I first applied the cream / balm, the fragrance was nice and smelt almost yummy but then it reminded me of La Tan (fake tanning spray). They were true to scent and exactly what the bottle says. After the application the scent does fade away after time unless you cover my face with your hands, which you'll keep doing once you've applied them. The Essence balms are $1.95 and I honestly thought due to the price tag, the products would at least be greasy, which is something I truly hate! After using this for a week, I was wrong. It's very light wright, worked its magic and definitely did what it was described to do. It's truly left my hands feeling, smooth and soft. Although I don't think it kinda lives up to "24hr protection" I'd recommend reapply every couple of hours just to keep the moisture in your hands.

I love the Essence products, but it's such a huge shame that they discontinue their products after a couple of weeks from releasing them. I haven't been able to see these in Priceline (where I brought mine) but I did see some at Target.

I was super lucky to get this product in my hands, as I truly love a good facial scrub and also the very first time using Clearasil skin care products.

I've tried a LOT of scrubs over my time, but haven't found my favourite. I don't suffer from acne, but working in retail & always speaking with customers, i want to have my face clean, fresh as possible! Finding a scrub that keeps my skin feeling soft, smooth, helps control my dry / oily areas ( T zone, corner of my nose) and provides a deep cleansing method is a big must have!

After using the scrub a couple of days, i started to notice some changes in my skin, it was smooth, fresh and even felt really soft. To be honest; i had never ever seen my face so clean before. I was very shocked. So as the week went on, I found that using it in the shower helped 1000000X more then normal cleaning. It is gritty but not sharp, which I love, but some people may find it inflames blemishes if they scrub too hard with it. 

Also found out that it works wonders if you leave it on your face for roughly 5 minutes (still in the shower) then raise off. The steam from the hot water helps all the ingredients to penetrate on your skin. I did get many compliments from my work friends saying that my skin looked fresh and healthy. Overall I'm going to stop hunting down a scrub because I've honestly already found it! I've found tricks with this product to continue getting the best results. It has already been added to my skincare routine for both morning & night. If you haven't found your holy grail scrub yet, then what are you waiting for? My 4 Winter Beauty Essentials

Winter is meant to be one of the most fashionable seasons, of endless amount clothes, over sized jumpers, scarfs, knee high boots and even funky prints. but there's nothing worse then getting sick in the first couple of weeks of Winter. I just happen to get caught up in a nasty sickness, of a cold, flu and a sore throat to add to the icing. Ive came up with my own little winter beauty essentials that will get me through this awful weather and also maintain my skin and hair.

St. Ives Apricot Scrub (Exfoliate Your Skin):

Exfoliate at least three times a week to remove dead skin cells and allow the skin to absorb moisture more effectively. Avoid exfoliates and toners that are high in alcohol, it may feel refreshing, but as alcohol evaporates it strips away moisture. So look for alcohol-free products. Ive been using: St. Ives Apricot Scrub I have been using this product for awhile now, and i can already tell a difference! My face is clear and feels great! I love the smell of it and the texture is great. My face feels smooth, clean and lovely. I also love how it is all natural.

Cracked, peeling lips can be a painful problem in winter, not to mention how un-kissable they look! Use a rich, moisturizing lip balm with vitamin E or coconut oil and apply regularly. Beeswax Lip Balm Tin: This one doesn't feel sticky and I never get sick of the scent - which is a natural pepperminty smell. I also don't feel like I need to reapply it every 5 seconds as with some others as well. I think it's because all the ingredients in it are natural.

Bioré Daily Deep Pore Cleansing Wipes

Bioré Daily Deep Pore Cleansing Wipes are ideal for on-the-go cleansing. They are textured and provide gentle exfoliating action that deep cleans down to the pores. They remove oil, dirt, and make-up to reveal clean and healthy looking skin.

I found these cleansing wipes to be quite good. The smell is also a little strong so I used these only at night time, for a quick lazy clean. They removed all my makeup in a few swipes, including all my mascara and eyeliner-a great job for a wipe. It did leave my face feeling a little bit to wet after I used them, but was defiantly a quick dry though.

This moisturizer is hydrating and was lovely to use. The pump dispenser was handy and the formula was suitable for my combination skin. it also gave my skin some glow and made my face seem more radiant and very smooth. It didnt make my skin go flaky, like most moisturizer do. It has a pleasant scent and sinks into my skin nicely. It's great that it has the added bonus of spf 15. Really loved this product, i will most likely buy this.

Bioré Daily Detoxify Scrub

Bioré Daily Detoxify Scrub is infused with soothing and refreshing aloe, rosemary, chamomile and pomegranate. The scrub contains two spherical beads that provide effective exfoliation to remove toxins from the skin’s surface and reveal a fresh glow everyday without damaging the skin. Soap-free.

This is a great cleanser and scrub. I find that it has just the right exfoliation and texture, not to gentle but not like sandpaper. The smell is quite light but fruity (I think thats the pomegranate in it). You don't need to much to get a good lather and scrub going and it washes off easily with water. I also find it is not drying at all on my skin.

I like to leave it on for a minute, and then wash it off. It did not cause pimples for my either. A great facial cleanser.

Review: Simple Cleaning Facial Wipes.

First product I have bought from the Simple skin care line, when i was 13 and still buy them to this date. I bought this product from my local Priceline and sometimes from Target. Normally depends on who's having a sale.

Let me just say, that this is AMAZING! It cleanses great and removed everything off your face. INCLUDING waterproof eye make up! It's a great product for travel, on the go, at work or when you're being lazy and just want to get into bed with ought washing your face. They stay moist after opening the package, however I did notice you don't have a lot of time to use them before they start to dry out. This product is very affordable and great value. I paid $4.99 from Priceline :) these facial wipes are available almost everywhere, like Coles, Big W etc.
