Nude By Nature: Undercover Airbrush Mineral Primer

When it comes to beauty and makeup, a few of my favourite youtube gurus always seem to talk about prime your face before applying foundation cause its meant to help your makeup smooth on nicely and give you a flawless look. I have never really used a primer before as I honestly don't think I need to use one, as my makeup sits right through out the day all the way to midnight. So I never spent money on buying one, but when Priceline had their beauty bag deal, this Nude By Nature Undercover Airbrush Mineral Primer was included and I decided to give it a shot.

Nude By Nature
Undercover Airbrush
Mineral Primer
RRP: $29.95

The website reads:
" Start your application with your primer. It’s the perfect way to prepare the skin, nourish and protect using Papaw, Vitamin E, Green Tea, to fill pores and lock on your make-up for all day wear "

This primer is very thick, smooth, rich and applied quite nicely. It was between mid light weight to almost heavy on my skin. It did have a very strong, unusual smell which turned me off the product and would leave my fingers smelly. I left the product on my skin for roughly 3-4 minutes for it to set in before applying foundation. Within a couple of minutes, my skin felt sticky and was hard to apply and spread my foundation over the top. I did apply some powder on top, which gave me a flawless matte coverage. Which is something I really do like. After a few hours, I noticed that my makeup started to fade away and made my makeup look awful and oily. I was at work so I couldn't redo my makeup besides keep touching it up. At one stage, my face started to burn across my forehead and cheeks that I just had to remove my makeup.

Overall, I'm very glad I didn't spend money on purchasing this primer as its honestly not worth the price tag. I'd never consider buying them due to the experience I had. Although everyone has different skin types, and may have different experiences towards this product but this just wasn't for me.

5 Beauty Products I've Finished - May 2013

5 Beauty Products, I've Finished. - May 2013

 Vera Wang; Preppy Princess:
I was given this as a Christmas present last year. I've always loved Vera Wang, and trying Preppy Princess for the first time, was exciting. This smells exactly how you'd imagine a preppy girl smelling- one of those girls who shops at the high end store, maybe upper-middle class, gets good grades in school, hold hands with her boyfriend at the park. It's a fresh scent, not obnoxiously flowery or sweet- it's young and innocent but suitable for a woman of all ages.

Swisspers; Facial Cleaning Wipes.
I've tried the other Swisspers wipes before (green tea and cucumber) but this one is the best in terms of the smell. I really like the fresh scent. Unlike many other wipes I've tried, Swisspers is perfect for me, coz the wipes are not too soggy - they just have the right amount of the cleansing stuff on it. And it does remove make up pretty well too! This is a great thing to use when you're just lazy to remove your make up at night. Plus, I never find a need to apply moisturiser after using this.

Maybelline New York: Fit Me Pressed Powder (Sand Beige)
The package is very inviting, it's small but cute. The only thing I hated about the package, was that you had to keep flipping the powder up, just to use the mirror. Which would leave me covered in powder, if I didn't clean it up. Besides that, the formula was very lightweight, didnt make my face, look cakey or patchy. Blends very well with my foundation and other beauty products I use.

Australis : Eyeshadow Primer.
FINALLY!!! I have been looking high and low for something to stop my oily lids from gathering eyeshadow in the creases and ruining my hard work! I decided to give this a go, despite it being considered a budget brand and I was excited to find that it does its job to perfection. I have worn this almost everyday for 8 hours with no fading whatsoever, just a dab on each lid, gently massage it in. Eyeshadow will not budge. I also have sensitive eyes and this is gentle as can be! Packaging is super cute, I love how Australis make all their products look alike (MAC inspiration?) Hot pink bottle with a black lid and doe foot applicator.
Maybelline New York: Dream LUMI Touch. Highlighting Concealer.
this product is amazing. I used it every single day. It was easy to apply and looked amazing blended in. I used it under my eyes, brow bone, down my nose and a little on my chin. Even though it says "concealer" it looked more like a bright highlighter. To be honest, I truly felt like I could pull off Kim Kardashian's  hight light / contour look. The texture was very creamy and was quick to dry, so you have to be super quick to blend into the skin. It didn't look cakey or to light for my skin. It was perfect shade to lighten dark areas and make my features stand out.

Review: Voluptulash Mascara By Australis.

I absolutely adore this mascara, and this is coming from someone that hated changing my old mascara that gave me results to another mascara I didn't know much about. I purchased Voluptulash after seeing an add on TV, I haven't always been a big fan of Australis products in the past. So I was pretty skeptical on it. After doing a little research for reviews, a few blogs had actually highly recommended it, not only was it cheap but the results are high. I decided to give it a shot, it was on special for $4.95 at Priceline, & I badly needed a new mascara as my favourite one was out of stock. Ill admit the wand was very weird, it was like a curved comb with teeth on each side. Even a little twisted to make an easy apply, but It was hard the first time I used it. But you get used to it, as my normally preferred wand was thick and full.

My results were not what I expected, I was truly blown away. I had to do a double look at my lashes cause it seriously looked like i put fake lashes on. With one comb through my lashes didn't stick together or lump. Didn't smudge or flake when wearing it. The best thing was how easy it was to wash off. Just a little bit of water made to come off in what seemed to be fibre-y clumps. Even my old favourite mascara would be hard to wash off at night, that I'd go to bed with bits of mascara stuck in my lashes. Voluptulash just out ruled them.I love this mascara, ill be making more purchases and also recommending it to everyone I know!
