Lara Stone: The New L'Oréal Paris Spokesperson

L’Oreal Paris is thrilled to welcome Lara Stone is its new global ambassador.

Lara’s spectacular silhouette and sexy gap-toothed grin have made her a true icon in today’s fashion world. Her uniqueness and glamour caught the global fashion industry totally off guard and catapulted her all the way to the top of the modelling scene. She is hailed as one of the world’s greatest models, sometimes even described as the “anti-model” for her sharp looks and personality in the standardised environment of the catwalk.  After a break to give birth to her first child, Lara shines more than ever and becomes a new international spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris.

“Lara is a real modern icon. Her rebellious, edgy sensual beauty has made her so strong and successful. Yet, she remains incredibly genuine, true, sensitive and super fun. I love her iconoclastic style and the way she distinguishes herself in every single fashion show she walked for. We are thrilled to welcome this exceptional woman and young mother to our brand,” says Cyril Chapuy, L’Oréal Paris Global Brand President.

With an English father and Dutch mother, Lara Stone was discovered by an agent at the age of 12 on a trip to Paris while on a family vacation and started working as a teenager. But it wasn’t until 2006, when she was chosen by Givenchy to walk for the Fall Couture Show in Paris that her career kicked off. Ever since then, she has modelled in shows for practically every major fashion house including Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Lanvin, and Fendi.

Lara appeared in many advertising campaigns (she signed an exclusive deal with Calvin Klein) and has been featured in every major fashion magazine. She developed a close relationship with former
Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld who dedicated an entire issue to her. It was to be the start of a long and passionate relationship with the magazine and its international issues, of which she has adorned the
cover nearly 10 times.

“I am so flattered to join L’Oréal Paris. Getting the chance to say “You’re worth it” to women around the world is a great honour. L’Oréal Paris is a brand that has always understood that beauty and personality go hand in hand. I totally identify myself to the Brand values considering my own history and career. Beauty is something you invent for yourself. It’s a powerful way of claiming who you really are,” Lara Stone declares.

Lara joins the ranks of L’Oréal Paris Spokespersons like Beyoncé Knowles, Doutzen Kroes, Eva Longoria, Freida Pinto, Julianne Moore, Hugh Laurie, Jane Fonda and Australia’s own Megan Gale.
