Happy Chinese New Year 2015 Year of the 'Billie' Goat

Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, which marks the first day of the New Year in the Lunar Calendar. 2015 is the Year of the Goat - according to the Chinese 12-year animal zodiac cycle - and begins today, and ends on March 5, 2015. Goats are a favourite animal of the Chinese people, and in popular culture, are thought to love peace, and to be kind and popular.

"We feel the Year of the Goat is the perfect opportunity to celebrate with Billie Goat Soap", says Susheel Gandhi, Billie Goat Soap Brand Manager. “We have Australia’s largest Chinese network, and we’re keen to expand so that more of this community can experience all the skin-loving properties that Billie Goat Soap has to offer. We know that the Chinese in particular love Australian made products, and the notion of Australian goats producing fresh Goats milk on Australian farms.”

Goats milk has been traditionally used to relieve the symptoms of eczema and dermatitis, conditions that affect the Asian community in higher percentages than non-Asian customers. In fact, recent studies have shown that children born in Australia who have Asian parents bear an increased risk of eczema.

The intensely moisturising formula of Billie Goat Soap has many benefits including:
  • -Billie Goat Soap uses only fresh Australian Goats milk in all soaps and have the highest percentage of Goats milk
    versus competitors
  • -Billie Goat Soap also has high percentage of natural, nourishing oils like Olive Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, sustainable Palm Oil and it’s this combination of oils and Goats milk that works together to help relieve symptoms of eczema and psoriasis
  • -Billie Goat Soap is the first and only medicated soap in the market with Therapeutic Goods Association of Australia listing, the product is proven in its ability to improve skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

“What better time than Chinese New Year to connect with our Asian customer base, leverage the excitement, good fortune and generosity to reflect on the power of the goat in Chinese mythology, and focus on improving one’s luck and circumstance - even if only by improving their skin conditions” comments Gandhi.

Since its inception ten years ago, Billie Goat Soap has sought to provide innovative, natural products for consumers suffering from eczema and dry skin conditions, including children and newborn babies.
