This April, leading ethical cosmetics retailer LUSH will collaborate with Clean Cut and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (MBFW) to bring Sydney its first ever ‘green’ runway event, showcasing sustainable fashion and beauty.
LUSH, which was awarded the 2013 Australian Business Award for Environmental Sustainability, will use its range of fresh, locally handmade cosmetics and hair care to style the Clean Cut event to achieve a fresh, minimalist-look that showcases natural beauty.
LUSH PR and Marketing Manager, Megan Taylor, says: “We are incredibly proud to be working with Clean Cut on this exciting collaboration that brings sustainable fashion and beauty to the forefront of MBFW. The values and ethical standards of Clean Cut marry beautifully with LUSH, as both are passionate about creating an environmentally-sound choice in the market place for ethically-conscious shoppers.”
The Clean Cut event will be the first ever carbon neutral runway show at MBFW and will highlight cutting edge Australian and international fashion that’s also pushing the boundaries of ethical and sustainable production.
Some of the labels featured in the show will include: Kowtow, Lalesso, Ovna Ovich, Bhalo, Goodone, Rachael Cassar, The social Studio and Desert Desert Designs.
According to Clean Cut Managing Director, Carlie Ballard, "The launch of Clean Cut will connect Australia to the global sustainable fashion movement. Equally, it will create a platform to be used as a trusted resource for consumers wanting to shop based on their personal values through our soon-to-be launched Style Guide directory."
