Lush Blogger Event Melbourne 2013

That's Me, Right Side In The Orange Coat :P

On Tuesday 10th Of September LUSH invited Melbourne blogger / vlogger to attend their very first event in Melbourne. Can only imagine how exciting it was to attend the first event. The event was held at the Swanston Street Store, where were greeted by the LUSH team with drinks and light snacks. On our first date, Retail Director Peta Roe started off the night with some insight into what the vision behind LUSH and how their products are vegan, preservative free, organic and not tested on animals.

LUSH is the ultimate beauty delicatessen. They consider themselves a cosmetics grocer with the fresh, handmade and invective merchandise loaded with the finest natural ingredients. The plan was the make cosmetics that were as natural as possible and to avoid using synthetic preservatives. Every LUSH product is crammed with the highest quality - and importantly, organic wherever possible.

LUSH products are made by hand in the kitchens of Sydney and then distributed all across Australia and of course NZ. To ensure each customer has the freshest products available. On the package they add stickers to all products who made it, the day it was made and the use by date. Rather than reply on mass-produced machine made formulations and warehousing excess stock.

During the night, we got the chance to see a glimpse into making a best seller cleanser. - Angels On Bare Skin. Few bloggers got their hands nice and dirty into making this, taken through a step by step by the team. We also got to take a tub home. All the ingredients that were used to make this product were all natural. No preservatives or unnatural things were added.

Angels On Bare Skin:
100g
RRP: $16.95

As everyone was playing around with almost every product in the store, LUSH was giving us lucky girls some facials, hand massages, tips on hair / skin care. Also had the LUSH girls explaining how products are used to get a better result. As I'm a sucker for a good mud mask, I couldn't wait to find out more about their masks. Lovely lush girl suited me with two products Cupcake & Oatfix that would be perfect for my skin. Was so happy with the choices.
Photo of the left is myself with bloggers NJT Reviews & Baby, Beauty, Body & Beyond showing off our mud mask hands.

We were all gifted with a goodie bag, which was truly insane. Very generous, but then us girls got even more spoilt, when we were allowed to pick three items within the store, that we wanted.

What's Inside The Goodie Bag:
1. Sex Bomb Bath Ballistic
2. Ultrabland Facial Cleanser
3. Honey, I Washed The Kids Soap
4. Bubblegum Lip Scrub
5. Ro's Argan Body Conditioner
6. Dream Cream Hand & Body Lotion
7. Angels On Bare Skin Cleanser

Plus 3 extra products:
- No Drought Dry Shampoo
- Ocean Salt Facial Scrub
- Big Sea Salt Shampoo

I look forward to trying these products, Ill be sure to update everyone on my thoughts, even post a review on them. Id also like to thank LUSH for throwing an awesome first date, it was honestly so much fun, I loved meeting some of the Melbourne Bloggers, the LUSH team and also really getting a better understanding of on there products, how theyre made, learning about the company and more. I look forward to the second date.
